Rajesh Kumar is the Head of Marketing for SAP in the India Subcontinent, where he holds the overall Responsibility for Brand stewardship, corporate communications, Go-to-market strategy & execution across Industry and Solutions in Enterprise, Govt. and SME segments in India , Srilanka and Bangladesh markets. His charter is to build and sustain SAP's leadership as the business software provider of choice for customers ranging from 10-employee start-ups to multi-billion conglomerates. Rajesh's career spans an enriching breadth of two decades, with an enviable depth of experience in marketing & sales across companies like Seagram’s, Perfetti Van Melle, HCL & Microsoft. Rajesh joined SAP in 2010 to lead SAP's go to market strategy and execution across Industry applications, Analytics, Database and Technology, Mobile & Cloud domains. He has been a core part of the team instrumental in the significant growth of SAP in India over last 3 years. Prior to joining SAP, Rajesh was associated with Microsoft India for 9 years, in various leadership roles. Rajesh recieved his degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra, is an alumnus of the IIM-Calcutta and has completed a program on Leadership & Change Management from Wharton. Rajesh is a regular speaker at Industry & marketing events and visiting faculty at many prestigious business schools. His views on marketing have been quoted by many media publications. Rajesh was honored with the Brand Leadership Award by CMO Asia and recognized among '50 Most talented CMOs' in India in 2012. He is a member on CII National Marketing Committee. He was speaker at the recent World Marketing Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and also on the jury panel for the Big Bang Awards held by the Advertising Club Bangalore 2013. Rajesh is passionate about supporting the cause of women empowerment and care for the elderly. When not busy with work, Rajesh enjoys travel, food, photography , reading and painting.
